1. XCOM Enemy Unknown.
A classic game being re-imagined by Firaxis Games. I wrote about it in my last entry here. It’s at the top of my video game wishlist right now. This game is essentially an alien invasion simulator and it offers creativity and originality in how you approach said invasion. XCOM manages to find the border between fun and challenging, and I’m excited for this version to come out in October.
2. Halo 4
The sequel to one of video gaming’s most successful trilogies. Halo 4 is the first game in a second trilogy about the Halo universe. This game introduces us to the fabled forerunners in-game. I’m also excited for the multiplayer and Spartan Ops features and how they interact with the storyline.
3. Call of Duty: Black Ops II
I’ll be the first to say it, I wasn’t much of a fan of the first Black Ops game. Although I enjoy most of the newer COD games, I do find myself having to tolerate the over-the-top action and gameplay. What I most look forward to in this game are the Strike Force missions, followed closely by zombies (of course).
PS. This post and the last one have made me want to write a post about my individual experience with XCOM. I’ll be putting that up soon.
